"WINDOW /  OPENINGS"
The Festival of Culture in Kapolcs, West Hungary,  15. -  18. July 1993
Installation in an empty sheep cot, Komlokert, Hungary.

Cooperation between 4 Norwegian artists: Ingvill Henmo, Arne Ingvaldsen, Eva Kun and Hilde Skjeggestad, on invitation from the Hungarian Artist`s Union and the Municipality of Kapolcs.

We chose an abandoned sheep cot in a place called Komlokert.
The building is a large empty shell, particularly expressive with simple openings out to a wide landscape. With strong contrasts between inside and outside,
our theme became emphasis on the building`s significance and position in the landscape.
We treated windows and other openings with new assignments both inside and outside with local materials.

Interior: cut straw on the earth floor. In total 10 interior forms (ca. 90 x 110 x 9 cm), white-washed wood plate.

Exterior: 5 rectangular indentations in the sloping earth (each approx. 180 x 220 cm), filled with white sand and adjusted to an accurate horizontal level.
