At LIAlab I worked in a big-scaled room without daylight.

My project was to create a light-space sequence by using electric light-thread in interaction with a bamboo structure in architectural scale. Visitors´ movement was essential to experience the space and the light forms.

 The bamboo structure with light-threads was self-supporting.

 Bamboo is a locally produced material in Colombia. It has the necessary length, stiffness and flexibility to provide a good interaction between the light threads and the construction.

 Room dimensions: approx. width 12 m; length 18 m; height varies between 4.4 and 5.5 m.
